Summer 2011 Prayer Needs

  • Please pray for our staff and children as they begin to bond.  These children have had difficult lives to this point and can have issues with trusting others and feeling secure in their new environment.
  • Pray that our children would get along with each other.  Our desire is that they would feel like siblings and develop a close family bond.
  • Terah and James have started school at the local charter school. This is a new experience for them, and we want them to enjoy school and do well with both the academics and the social side of being in school.
  • We always covet your prayers for the children and the staff members’ good health.
  • Pray for strength for the men and women in the home as they are available night and day, just like any parent,to assure that the children’s needs are met. We want them to be able to attend to the needs of the children with love and joy.
  • Please pray for the upcoming ministry trip in September. We will be doing a dental and medical outreach. Please pray that we will have all the supplies we need, and that we will easily pass through customs. There is a missionary dentist in Nairobi with whom we are attempting to partner. He has portable dental equipment that would be ideal for our purposes in addition to his dental expertise and language skills. He also has a Kenyan assistant who may be able to join us.
  • Please pray for the hiring of the best women to be additional mothers/aunties as we grow in numbers.
  • Please pray for the children who are yet to come. The current circumstances of any potential Kitalale Children’s Home children are not good. Ask God to protect them until they can come to us.
