Our Philosophy

Need:
People living in rural communities of developing countries struggle to provide for orphaned children within their communities.

Vision:
As a manifestation of Christ’s love, our ministry is to assist rural communities in meeting the spiritual, social, physical and educational needs of orphaned children in developing countries.

Mission:
Working together with God, we establish children’s homes with a loving family environment and provide resources to meet the diverse developmental needs of orphans.

Approach:
Working with in-country partners (ICP) and local communities in developing countries, we implement the Children of Hope (CoH) program, consisting of children’s homes and related outreaches.

CHILDREN’S HOME:
We strongly believe in the value of in-country workers from the children’s own culture helping to establish protocols and best practices in our homes. Our in-country staff hire all the mothers and aunties and other staff associated with running the homes.

Our homes are designed to provide food, shelter and clothing for a maximum of 40 children in a loving family environment where the education and spiritual development of each individual child is emphasized.

The family environment is essential to our approach so that the home is…

A home where kids are cared about,
not simply cared for;
A home where the caregivers see what they do as a calling,
not just a job;
A home where staff go beyond investing in the children to
becoming their family.

COMMUNITY OUTREACHES:
Working with local churches and community leaders, we will provide projects, programs and resources for children in surrounding communities. These activities will focus on children’s spiritual, social, physical and educational development.

Values:
As a manifestation of Christ’s love and for His glory, we strive to trust in God by:

Loving because He first loved us.
Extending Grace and Mercy to others.
Serving with Integrity, Humility and Selflessness.
Speaking the Truth in Love.
